UIO based Fault Detection and Isolation in dynamic systems

A collection of MATLAB m-files and simulink models for the design of UIO based FDI system.

Unknown Input Observers(UIO) are used in model based FDI schemes to reduce or almost eliminate the effect of unknown disturbances on the plant/system.Further they can be used to generate residuls that are insensitive to unknown disturbances or noise, thus lower the false alarm rate.

For isolation of different faults a bank of UIOs are designed. Each UIO generate residuals which are sensitive to only one fault, thus makes the isolation easier.
